I attended the University of Alabama where I earned a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and an EdS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This summer, I finished my post-masters certification in Educational Leadership at UAB.

I am a third generation teacher, and have been teaching for 21.5 years. I taught 3rd grade at Odenville Elementary for 7 years. My husband and I moved to Florida where I taught 3rd grade for 4 years at Norton Elementary in Gainesville. Then we moved to Jackson, TN where I taught 2 years in first grade and 2 years in 3rd grade at Andrew Jackson Elementary. Prior to moving back to Alabama, I taught 3rd grade for 3 years at Station Camp Elementary in Gallatin, Tennessee. I have been back at Odenville Intemediate since 2015.

My name is Christy Blankenship. I teach 4th grade math and science. I am a graduate of St. Clair County High School and the University of Alabama. Go Saints and Roll Tide! I began my teaching career at Odenville Elementary School. After 7 years at OES, my husband's Air Force career led us on a journey out of state for 11 years. When he retired from the USAF after 20 years of service, we decided to move back to St. Clair County to raise our family. Rich and I have 4 children: Dylan, Parker, Rayleigh, and Max. The kids keep us super busy with baseball, basketball, football, dance, and gymnastics. I love watching them learn and grow! When we are not busy with afterschool activities, I love to read, go to the beach, watch Alabama football, and just hang out with my family!
